Send Me: Prayer & Fasting – Day 21 – 1-29-2017

Day 21 – Sunday 1/29 – Sermon – Break-fast at noon

Today is Miracle Sunday at The Church at Wellington. We are expecting some mighty things to take place here in the church during our time of worship together. Truth is, there have already been countless miracles done in the hearts and lives of each one of you as you have followed along during this time set aside for prayer and fasting.
During the service and in the days following there will be countless testimonies of the changes which have taken place, true miracles in our lives. These are just the start of a new life in Him.

A new journey has begun for you. A new level of clean, a new awareness of hearing Him speak, and a new commitment to respond to His call.
Be diligent and watchful to protect these mighty changes from being tainted and stolen by the enemy of your soul. Put on the whole armor of God to protect yourself and His work in you.
Take what you have learned, share it with others, and GO! Go to where you are needed. Go to where He guides you. Go to those who are in need. Go and speak His Word. Go entice others to follow Him.
Just Go!

Send Me: Prayer & Fasting – Day 20 – 1-28-2017

Day 20 – Saturday 1/28 – Send me to: My specific task

Matthew 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

By the time Jesus speaks these words to the disciples their lives have been completely changed. It started with a simple call from a carpenter’s son and quickly turned into the most amazing journey ever. From water, which was turned into wine to storms commanded to be still. Those who were lame walked, the blind were given back their sight, the diseased were cured, and all of this was with not much more than a word spoken by this man named Jesus. Then came the really big “stuff”, the dead were raised back to life, not just once but several times. There were moments along the journey where they wondered who this man really was, and many times that simply left them standing there in amazement and what had just taken place. But then who can forget the things which He said? Things which would just totally destroy the old way of thinking about everyday things. Simple statements which had the ability to shame the studied lawyers sent to challenge Him, and yet gentle words of compassion spoken to heal those bound by demonic forces setting them free from their possession. Yes, by this time the disciples have been on the epic journey of their lives. But wait, there’s more!

Now Jesus is standing before them and telling them that their journey is not yet complete. They are now to spread themselves out to the far reaches of the earth and share this same message with others. To go and make disciples of their own and His Spirit will go with them along the pathway.

What a journey! What a challenge! They had no idea of what would lay in wait for them but because of these eleven men the Gospel is still being preached in all corners of the world.
All that awaits is for you to get your marching orders and get to your task. Spread the Word wherever He sends you. The key to this response to Him is again found in the short phrase, Here am I, Send Me!
