Send Me: Prayer & Fasting – Day 6 – 1-14-2017

Day 6 – Saturday 1/14 – Cleanse my: Feet – that I might walk in obedience
Isaiah 52:7
7 How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

There are perhaps a thousand sermons which could be generated from this single verse. You will not have to endure every one of those here. As a matter of fact there will be no sermon here today. The verse above should automatically speak volumes to your heart about the spread of the Good News. The spread of the Gospel is a beautiful thing and you can have a part of this mission.
Every day you cross paths with people who need to hear good news, glad tidings, a message of peace, about the freedom found through salvation or maybe the message of a Soverign God which is still in control even though the world seems to be upside down. The question will be before you for the remainder of this season of prayer and fasting of what will be your response to what God speaks to you and shows you throughout your personal time with Him. The focus of this week has been on cleansing yourself thoroughly so when the times comes for you to be the one delivering the message you will be ready to both hear and deliver the words of God instead of your own. Just as it is important for the preacher to speak as a messenger from God when he or she stands before the congregation it is also important for you to be prepared to speak the Words of God when you are called upon by Holy Spirit in the course of your normal day.
It should be permissible to say that those who are prepared and ready to speak the Good News are beautiful ambassadors for the King of Kings in a world which is filled with those who desperately need to hear from Him.
